Gratitude Day #22: Something that made me laugh

When was the last time you laughed? Was it a belly-aching-tears streaming kind of laugh? This is a reflection about laughter and how little of it I'm having.

On day 22 of the Gratitude Series, I wrote about laughter and how much (or how little) of it I’m having in my life.

What struck me the most while writing this is that I haven’t had a good laugh in a long time. I scrolled through my photos a few times, searching for clues about some funny moments, and I found that I’ve had to really go back in time.

I chose this photo because it reminds me of a belly-achingly funny moment at a friend’s wedding a couple of years ago. I was caught red-handed checking out the beautiful venue’s lush red chillies, and the friend who caught me made the funniest joke it made me laugh so hard I was crying.

Writing this piece made me realise how rare these joyful moments can be, especially in these challenging times and how much more of an effort I need to make to seek them out in my life.
