People process grief in many different ways. For some, it’s letting loose to some trance music, for others, especially for Lebanese expats, they seem to enjoy telling Lebanese folks in Lebanon how to live their lives.
As creatures of habit, life’s constant changes has made us feel perpetually uprooted. It could be the lockdown, but it also could be the ever elusive stability we have been so desperately seeking in Lebanon.
Empowerment is about denouncing the things that are unfair and unjust, and often it’s not well received by those perpetuating those very things. In this article I talk about some behaviours I’ve observed around the topic of bullying in Lebanon. It’s only by discussing it and raising awareness of how pervasive bullying is that we can begin to make positive changes.
